Your auto and stock donations, like any other donations to our United Way, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law for non-profit organizations. 

For auto donations, we will take almost any car - the better the car, the more your donation will be worth.  We will even pick up your car at your home - at no cost to you.  Avoid the hassles and expenses of selling, avoid issues with having strangers at your home, avoid having to tow your car, and help your community at the same time!

Contributing appreciated stock or mutual fund shares can be an excellent financially, for the donor, sometimes "costing" much less than the total value of the gift.  There is a double benefit from giving appreciated securities.  The donor then receives a federal income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the assets, rather than the lower cost originally paid for the stock.  In addition, the donor completely avoids the capital gains tax.
